Ismail Rzayev, born on April 29, 1996, in Baku, Azerbaijan, discovered his passion for photography at the age of 15 when he acquired his first camera. By 2014, he became the youngest member in the history of the Union of Photographers of Azerbaijan, marking the beginning of his professional journey in photography. In 2015, Rzayev dedicated himself fully to his craft, and by 2016, he established his first photo studio, specializing in studio and advertising photography.
Over the past five years, Ismail Rzayev has expanded his expertise to include photojournalism while continuing to excel in studio and advertising photography. His work has been featured in prominent publications such as Boutique Baku, Nargis Magazine, Gazeta by Beat, and several other local and international magazines.
In addition to his commercial work, Rzayev has contributed to the community as a guest trainer for the “FotoMen” project, part of the “Culture Messenger” program organized by the ASAN Volunteers Organization in 2017 and 2019. His commitment to documenting significant moments also led him to visit the newly liberated territories of Azerbaijan in 2021, where he produced a compelling series of photographs in Gubadli, Khojaly, Khojavand, Zangilan, and Shusha.
Rzayev has collaborated with numerous global and local brands, including Coca-Cola, Mastercard, Lay’s, L’Oréal, Ariel, and more, showcasing his versatility and creative vision across various genres of photography.
